LIGNA: Furniture Industry
The range of exhibits extends from state-of-the-art machinery, plant and production equipment to innovations in automation engineering. This wide-ranging program makes LIGNA the leading showcase for the industrial mass production of furniture and floor coverings.
In 2013, the primary focus will once again be on resource efficiency and sustainability in the form innovative technologies that conserve materials and resources and save energy. Spiraling energy and raw material costs and a growing awareness of climate protection issues are driving demand in the wood processing industry for systems and solutions that use available energy resources more efficiently.
This is reflected in our lightweight construction themes. For instance, LIGNA 2013 will feature the lightweight.network, a special display dedicated to lightweight construction in the furniture and interior finishing industries and strategically located in Hall 17 – in the immediate vicinity of the furniture and surface finishing technology exhibits. With the support of lightweight-technology partners, the Lightweight Construction Association (igel) and various international market leaders from the panel products and machinery industries, we will in 2013 again be offering a lightweight expertise cluster featuring live demonstrations of lightweight solutions.
At LIGNA 2013, you will witness innovative, user-centric solutions for the global market and, of course, for your individual requirements in the following key theme areas: edge-banding/laser edge-banding, seamless jointing, batch-size-1 production, surface coating, CNC, logistics and packaging technology.
