In a LIGNA first, an open-air demonstration site is being set up at the foot of the Hermes Tower for LIGNA 2017. In cooperation with the German Forestry Council (KWF), Deutsche Messe is offering LIGNA exhibitors a new opportunity to highlight their solutions for special areas of forestry technology. On a track covering more than 1,500 square meters of ground, demonstrations will be given at 10 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Exhibitors such as Wahlers Forsttechnik and Kopa have already signed up as partners for the site, presenting their latest chassis technology for Ponsse and Rottne forwarders and harvesters. A further highlight consists of a demonstration of loading technology for trucks while, in cooperation with the RAL Quality Association, the Schuchardt company will demonstrate its latest innovations. And small-scale equipment will also be featured, with a special demo scheduled for Thursday, 25 May.
