Performance optimization in production, innovative timber construction, most recent material technologies or the topic of energy efficiency: The range covered by wood technology and thus the requirements for engineers are constantly evolving. Ever greater specialist knowledge is expected for managerial positions in the international timber industry. This is precisely what the international Master Programme in Wood Technology provides. It is offered jointly by the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences (GER) together with the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering (CH).

Expanding skills in relation with the most recent technologies in the timber industry as well as active participation in research and industry projects are at the core of the Master Degree Programme. All students will complete the first semester at the University of Rosenheim: they will explore in-depth the basics of mathematics and sciences and improve competence in research and development as well as in management. From the second semester onwards, the students will continue the course at their preferred university - Rosenheim or Biel/Bienne - and choose from general compulsory modules, as well as one of the two technical specialisations "Products and processes" and "Timber Engineering".

- Duration: 3 semesters full-time or 6 semesters part-time
