PASCAM Bea is a feature-based 3D CAM system for SOLIDWORKS®, which has been specially developed to program CNC machining strategies directly inside the SOLIDWORKS® user interface. PASCAM Bea is exporting machine specific NC code at the push of a button, to control any modern woodworking CNC machine with efficient postprocessors.PASCAM Bea enables the user to add all kind of typical woodworking CNC machining features to the product model, thus the CAM information and the CNC programming are perfectly integrated into the usual SOLIDWORKS® design process, which provides for the highly efficient "Design for Manufacturing" approach in our integrated CAD/CAM software solutions. PASCAM Bea offers maximum versatility and flexibility in the CNC programming design process, with short notice just before the start of the actual CNC manufacturing. Enabling to manufacture single pieces or small batches of products (lot size 1) in the same economic way as small or high-volume series.Field-proven, customized toolpaths and CNC strategies can be saved as templates and test cases for the efficient re-use in editable user databases. The user has full control over all manufacturing parameters. A CNC tool database is providing comprehensive material tables. All common woodworking CNC strategies from drilling, routing, sawing to edgebanding are available.PASCAM Bea provides an animated toolpath simulation with customizable drill benches and tool aggregates in order to verify the accuracy of the generated CNC machining program prior to the actual manufacturing process.The optional nested based machining solution 'GTR Nest Management powered by PASCAM Bea', generates nested based CNC machining data for woodworking CNC machining centers. It offers true-shape nesting and supports bridges, "onion skin" cutting, parts in parts and remnant nesting with small part threshold, nested in the center of the sheet.
