The KME3 can be fed manually, in a semi-automatic or fully automatic way and is thus covering nearly all customer requirements. Further mechanization components are turning the KME3 into an edging and ripping system for a maximum added value. Drive motors of up to 90 kW are providing the necessary power for processing the workpieces of up to 160 mm in height and 950 mm in width.
To make full use of the capacity of the KME3, PAUL at the same time developed a new CNC control for circular edgers and circular resaws. The control represents the direct interface between man and technology; that is why particular attention was paid to a user-friendly operation and best ergonomics during development. The network-compatible CNC control is based on the LINUX operating system. The customer may select between two versions, the MAXIRIP and the OPTIRP, which are standing for maximization, i.e. optimization of the results, depending on the requirement.
