Ever since 1952, the Italian SCM Group has been strongly committed to offering an extensive range of innovative and user-friendly wood processing technologies for workshop and industrial operations. Its products are distributed worldwide by well-organized service and sales branches. A well-oiled network of highly trained service engineers and specialists is always on hand to provide customers with whatever advice and support they might need, and is constantly being developed and expanded on a global scale. One of the company's latest achievements is the new generation of throughfeed drilling machines that it recently unveiled to the public at the SCM Technology Center in Rimini under the slogan "Drilling is no longer boring".
Above all, these drilling solutions, distributed under the brand name Morbidelli, are intended to meet the growing requirements for customized and integrated production without losing sight of the advantages of industrial production. SCM has equipped its two new Morbidelli cx220 and cx210 models with a number of very useful features to cater specifically for small batch sizes. These include compact drilling heads, which are now even more powerful thanks to a new design, a worktable for drilling delicate surfaces, and profiling hold-down grippers that allow machining even inside the gripper area. If that’s not enough, each machine also features a new panel return system with automatic unloading.
