Description

Three methods of airborne remote sensing that can support forestry are presented: Traditional aerial photography, laser scanning and hyperspectrography. The first method allows the mapping of forest damage through visual interpretation; laser scanning is used, among other things, to estimate the timber stock. Hyperspectral sensors are relatively new and offer promising approaches for targeted damage assessment.
