Part of Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) is a network of more than 1000 trade, investment, and innovation professionals working in Canadian embassies, high commissions, and consulates located around the world and with offices across Canada. Among other things, the TCS helps research performing entities develop R&D and innovation partnerships with Canada. They provide advice on the Canadian Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) landscape and funding opportunities for joint R&D and innovation projects. Through its network of partners in Canada and abroad, they provide platforms to facilitate matchmaking for joint partnerships between Canadian SMEs and foreign companies, universities, and research organisations. The TCS helps Canadian entities identify suitable partners. The TCS can also help identifying suitable partners for international entities desiring to conduct projects with Canada.
