Product description

Ro-Ma Machine Cutting Tools Co., Ltd from Poland launches in March new products into the market. The latest devices within the company's wide assortment are bi-metal band saws: wood-cutting Black Säge and metal-cutting Iryd saw. The Black Säge will expand the currently available segment of medium band saws.
Bi-metal saws in contrast to monolithic saws are produced of two steel types welded together. The Black Säge saw's body is made from the high quality alloy steel and its blade from the M24 abrasion resistant high-speed steel. The width of saw is 34 mm and its thickness is 0.9 mm. The Black saw is available in the set and sharpened version. It is perfectly useful for machining difficult materials. However, it can also bring measurable economic benefits for every type of wood. The Black Säge can operate in diverse weather conditions achieving good sawing results both during the winter and summer. It is particularly effective when sawing hard types of wood, frozen wood and exotic wood. In the case of the unbarked or sand contaminated wood, the Black Säge saws are also highly recommended.
The bi-metal saws durability is much longer than in case of monolithic band saws they are more efficient. They have high fatigue strength and are capable of working with a higher feed and cutting speed. Using the Black Säge saws in the wood sawing process enables to significantly increase effectiveness, and hence - reduce operation costs.
It is also a great time-saving solution, since bi-metal saws operate longer and do not require often replacement and maintenance. During proper operation, the saws need setting and sharpening even three times less frequently than in the case of carbon steel saws.
The high-speed steel blade guarantees greater resistance to wear and cracking. The Black Säge is not a cheap saw, however, taking into consideration its efficiency and strength, the cutting cost per unit is much lower than for monolithic saws.
