The Mac model is a condensation system with a heat pump, allowing the machine’s refrigeration system to be exploited to the full. The heat pump allows for a significant energy saving: with electrical heating, 1kW of energy produces 860 Kcal, whereas with 1 kW, the heat pump produces between 2,000 and 4,000 Kcal/h. In the MAC model, the potential of the heat pump is exploited to the full: the cold produced is used to condense and expel the humidity that evaporates from the wood. The heat, on the other hand, is used to heat up the wood and accelerate the evaporation of the water contained therein.
