Product description

North America homebuyers have always had a strong preference for wood-framed and wood-sheathed housing. Oriented strandboard (OSB), introduced in 1978, has steadily taken market share from Douglas fir and southern pine plywood in these structural wood panel sheathing applications. More recently, North American OSB producers have begun integrating overlays into their production processes. By doing so they are able to produce more valuable OSB-based specialty products. Examples include embossed OSB siding and OSB sheathing panels that are overlaid with vapour barriers. surfactor and its sister company, Lahnpaper, have unique technical and production capabilities to assist OSB producers in their quest to efficiently produce innovative, specialty OSB products.
