The SCREW INFEED combines the functions of storage, singulation, alignment and acceleration. At the same time, it ensures lower maintenance and offers lower noise levels. Conveying without the use of conveyor chains results in less wear and extends the necessary maintenance intervals.
The SCREW FEEDER is the heart of the line - a patented log allocation unit which aligns the logs and again singulates any logs which are too close together.
The SCREW FEEDER serves as a transfer unit to the longitudinal conveyor. Its design ensures that the logs are accelerated longitudinally even during the allocation process. This results in a smooth transition to longitudinal conveying and avoids high transfer steps or lurching movements in the longitudinal conveyor.
Technical Information: Suitable for high-speed feed to the log sorting and saw lines and for smooth transfer to the onward conveyor / Log lengths from 2.5 to 6 m / Log diameters from 100 to 700 mm / Capacity up to 50 logs per minute
