Christian Bedbur, born in 1990 in Düren-Birkesdorf, grew up in Bergheim near Cologne and attended the secondary school in the neighbouring Bedburg. He then transferred to the Erftgymnasium in Bergheim and successfully graduated in 2010 with the general university entrance qualification. Subsequently, he completed two years of vocational training as a joiner, finishing best in the guild. In 2012, Bedbur began his studies as a timber engineer at FH Aachen, followed by a Master's course of study in construction engineering in 2016 which was successfully completed in October 2017. Since November 2016, Bedbur has been a research assistant at FH Aachen's Faculty of Civil Engineering, in the teaching and research area of timber construction.
