1. What makes LIGNA so special for you?

I had the opportunity to attend my first LIGNA with WINTERSTEIGER in the late 1980s. I can't quite recall whether it was LIGNA 1987 or LIGNA 1989 – at the time, I was working as a technician for thin-cut frame saws. Starting with LIGNA 1997, I’ve participated in every edition of the fair, right through to LIGNA 2025. At all of these impeccably organized events, we were able to establish valuable business connections and meet people from all over the world. The global importance of this trade fair has remained unparalleled over the past 50 years. No other event in the woodworking industry comes close to matching its significance.

2. What have you been most pleased about at a LIGNA?

Closing direct deals with customers during the fair – and, of course, the consistently outstanding organization.

3. What is the funniest/best/surprising thing you have experienced at LIGNA?

Honestly, every LIGNA has been a wonderful experience – and at times, quite entertaining as well.

4. When is a LIGNA a successful LIGNA for you?

When the week at LIGNA generates so many interesting and promising contacts that our sales team can benefit from them all the way to the next LIGNA. Naturally, it's also a success when we’re able to close direct deals during the event.
