1. What makes LIGNA so special for you?
LIGNA is an important event for feeling the pulse of the industry. The exchange with colleagues and customers from all over the world and different areas of woodworking, coupled with the latest technologies, always gives us new impetus. On the one hand, we meet numerous customers and interested parties, and on the other hand, colleagues from other branches also come together, which leads to a very interactive and pleasant exchange.
2. What was your favourite thing about LIGNA?
What we enjoyed most at LIGNA were the inspiring discussions with our customers and interested parties. It's always exciting to see how our solutions are met with great interest and new ideas emerge. It was also great to experience the positive atmosphere in the team and to celebrate successes together. LIGNA is more than just a trade fair. It is a reunion with old friends and a chance to make new contacts. These personal connections turn customer loyalty into partnership.
3. What is the funniest/best/surprising thing you have experienced at LIGNA?
In 2001, we exhibited a wooden CD stand with an innovative curved shape at our stand. This was designed with our software and manufactured on a CNC machine. The CD stand was decorated with the printed cardboard sleeves of our installation CD. We couldn't keep up with replacing the empty sleeves, they were so quickly stolen as souvenirs. From day two of LIGNA, the CD stand could be admired without decoration and we asked the quiz question as to what use this twisted wooden tower could have. As our company is based in Hildesheim and we have built our stand ourselves over the years, dismantling it on the last day of the fair was always something special for us. The entire team - from sales to support to development - pitched in together and it became a real team event. To top it off, we ordered a truckload of pizza, which we then enjoyed comfortably on the trade fair crates.
4. What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome for LIGNA?
The biggest challenge we had to overcome at LIGNA was preparing our stand on time. In addition to the logistical coordination and set-up, we had to ensure that all materials and presentations were ready.
5. When is a LIGNA a successful LIGNA for you?
LIGNA is a success for us when we meet numerous customers and interested parties and have the feeling that we have created added value for them through the discussions and demos, when the general mood is positive and we work together excellently as a team.
