Smart and sustainable technologies and services form a prominent part of the trade fair highlights with which the Siempelkamp team will be launching at LIGNA. “Smart” stands for Siempelkamp's approach to ensure maximum efficiency for its customers in the area of raw material use and plant operation. The focus is also on increasing the productivity as well as the quality of wood-based material plants and boards. Siempelkamp has been working on digital solutions for many years and is continuously developing them further. "We have specifically expanded our know-how in the area of digital technologies and analytics. Visitors to our stand at LIGNA can gain a vivid impression of how this know-how can increase the performance and efficiency of a wood-based materials plant," says Samiron Mondal, Managing Director of Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH.

Siempelkamp already presented its new digital platform “IQ” at LIGNA in 2023. In the current LIGNA year, “IQ” will bundle all features of the digital plant even more holistically. Visitors to the booth will gain a vivid impression of the holistic concept for the analysis, control and optimization of the new ContiRollÒ Generation 9 iQ line generation. This new generation will combine Siempelkamp's traditional engineering skills with modern digitalization solutions and AI methods. By merging IT and mechanical engineering, the company aims to set new benchmarks in terms of throughput and resource efficiency. Siempelkamp has also achieved an important milestone towards complete plant autonomy: The “control room of the future” presents the entry into this autonomy. At LIGNA 2025, it will provide an insight into the future, changed role of the plant operator, who will be relieved of operational tasks by the digital concept. In future, they will concentrate on monitoring process sequences and only intervene in the event of anomalies.

Siempelkamp Service is also presenting itself “smart”: All group-wide service experts are represented together at the booth. Together with the international service locations, they bundle their competencies to ensure worldwide service from a single source. The new initiative “Siempelkamp Service Excellence” integrates the spare parts service as well as the remote service, modernizations and other services in a smart way. This should pay off for customers in terms of speed, excellent quality and smooth processes.

The smart LIGNA topics in the service area also include the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) process. Siempelkamp Service has been using EDI for several years in order to combine two essential advantages for the greatest possible benefit of the customer: The expertise in machine and plant engineering and the experience as a technical dealer, a large spare parts warehouse and optimized spare parts processes included. The online spare parts catalog, which has a far more complex structure than a pure online store, also contributes to “Smart”.

“Sustainable”, the second component of Siempelkamp's trade fair motto, will also be tangible and tangible at LIGNA. According to Siempelkamp, sustainability and resource efficiency, innovation and social responsibility go hand in hand in the corporate concept, as these topics are decisive for the success of people, machines, technologies and services in the wood-based materials industry. The focus of the LIGNA presentation is on the research and development activities that Siempelkamp is pushing on the topic of “sustainability”.

Siempelkamp Service also shows how it fills the demand for sustainability with life. A new plant is a long-term investment. Here it pays off to intervene with modernizations or conversions. At LIGNA, the service experts will show what options modernization opens up to save CO2. The topics of energy and material savings and energy recovery can also be explored in Hanover.

"LIGNA is the ideal platform for us to intensify our contact with customers, partners, scientists and applicants. We are looking forward to making our innovations tangible in Hanover and engaging in dialog with our stand guests," says Samiron Mondal.
