Spring is drawing ever closer and new products are popping up at tool manufacturers around the world like the crocuses tentatively breaking through in our parks and gardens. Take Festool GmbH, for example, where the range of popular woodworking tools based on the innovative 18-Volt Li-HighPower battery is being expanded and a new generation of Systainer3, a mobility system developed in collaboration with bott and TANOS, promises to narrow the gap between workshop and construction site. Talking of workshops and mobility, the company has yet another highlight in the pipeline, slated for release in April - the brand new STM 1800 mobile work bench.

The STM 1800 mobile saw table and work bench has a whole range of ingenious features, including wooden blocks that provide the perfect support for panel material and workpieces at all times, ensuring they can be worked with precision. What makes the STM 1800 so special is that it can even accommodate panels up to 3,100 by 2,100 millimeters in size without any problem, so just one person can work on them alone. The table, which is mounted on sturdy castors, can also be tilted and adjusted in terms of its size and height - up to a maximum working height of 90 centimeters - to make work even more ergonomic. When combined with a portable circular saw and guide rails, the STM 1800 transforms into a mobile panel saw. What’s more, once your work is done, the versatile solution’s special folding system means it is collapsible, making it compact and easy to transport to the next worksite.
