Companies that want to utilise their waste wood economically and recycle it sustainably cannot do without high-performance shredders and briquetting presses. For over 40 years, WEIMA has been developing customised solutions that are precisely tailored to the needs of joineries, carpentry workshops, furniture and interior fitters, sawmills and wood-processing industrial companies.

‘LIGNA is one of the most important platforms for us to enter into dialogue with our customers. Here we can not only present our latest machines, but also develop customised, increasingly complex solutions for individual requirements,’ explains Fred Haller, Sales Director for the wood sector at WEIMA.

At LIGNA 2025, the machine manufacturer will be presenting a new drive option for the popular WL 4 shredder, among other things. Thanks to the optimised motorisation with eleven kilowatts, shredding results comparable to the 18.5-kilowatt version can be achieved with less energy input, which should make operation more economical. This solution offers an attractive opportunity to save costs in the long term, especially for small and medium-sized craft businesses.

In addition to the WL 4, WEIMA will be demonstrating at LIGNA how industrial applications can also be realised efficiently with the powerful WLK 1500 single-shaft shredder and the TH 1200 briquetting press. While the WLK 1500 shredder has been specially developed for high throughput rates and coarse pre-shredding, the TH 1200 briquetting press makes it possible to compact large quantities of wood waste into high-quality briquettes - ideal for companies that want to recycle their production waste economically or use it as fuel.
