When every Square Meter counts
Anyone who has to fight for every square meter in their workshop should take a look at the new MVD 900 from Italian machine manufacturer Masterwood at LIGNA 2025. The comprehensively equipped vertical CNC machine promises high performance in a small space.

Even if small businesses have long been convinced of the benefits of a CNC machine, they are often faced with the challenge of having to come to terms with limited space in their workshop. The specialists at Masterwood from the well-known seaside resort of Rimini on the Italian Adriatic are now presenting a solution to this challenge at LIGNA 2025 with their newly developed vertical CNC machine, the MVD 900. According to the Italians, at 2,200 x 1,600 millimetres, the machine has the smallest installation dimensions for direct wall installation in the class with a 6-position tool changer. Despite these dimensions, the fully-fledged 3-axis CNC is said to offer the option of using angular gears.
In principle, Masterwood did not want to make any restrictions with regard to the possible finishes compared to the proven successful TF 100 2.0 model. So you could say that Masterwood is going “steep” with the TF 100 2.0 to make the MVD 900 possible. The workpiece length of the MVD 900 is also unlimited, the workpiece width that can be processed with all units is 990 millimetres, which means that 985 millimetre wide interior doors can still be processed.
The MVD 900 has the drilling head of its “big” sister, the TF 600 KT, which has twelve vertical and eight horizontal spindles - plus a grooving saw in the x-direction. In addition, the use of Teflon pads in combination with hold-down devices for the drilling head and milling spindle should significantly reduce compressed air consumption. A motorized 6-position tool changer replaces the pneumatically controlled version and a large window in the front door provides a better view of the machining process. The basic version includes a milling spindle with 6-position tool changer, and two unit positions allow Clamex or lock case retrofitting.
