Directions
The A2 motorway allows a comfortable and fast journey from North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. The A7 motorway takes you directly to Hannover - whether you are coming from Hamburg or Munich.
Coming from the north
A7 direction Kassel/Hannover, exit 58 Hannover-Anderten onto B65 (Südschnellweg) direction Hannover/Messe
Coming from the east
A2 direction Magdeburg/Hannover/Dortmund, exit 48 Kreuz Hannover-Ost direction Kassel until exit 58 Hannover-Anderten on B65 (Südschnellweg) direction Hannover/Messe
Coming from the south
A7 direction Hannover/Hamburg, exit 60 Dreieck Hannover-Süd onto A37 direction Hannover/Messe

The B3 via the Weidetorkreisel is limited to a maximum of 3.5 tons total weight and 2.10 meters width.
Parking lots
On the website of the "Gesellschaft für Verkehrsförderung mBH" (GfV) you will find all information about parking facilities around the Exhibition Grounds.
The parking fee for cars is 16,- EUR.

Arrival without traffic jam
Please use the recommended navigation system NUNAV .
For your individually controlled journey to LIGNA with the free NUNAV route planner. The driving recommendations are coordinated with other road users and avoid traffic jams.

From the city centre you reach the Exhibition Grounds by tram line/U-Bahn/suburban railway or from the south by bus.

Travel by Public Transport | LIGNATicket also valid as a Travel Ticket
Your LIGNA admission ticket or exhibitor pass is valid as a ticket for all public transportation (2nd carriage class) in the entire ÜSTRA fare zone (zones ABC) until 5 a.m. on the day of the event and is non-transferable. This arrangement applies even if your ticket does not have any information printed on it or if it contains different information. Simply present your LIGNA ticket during ticket inspection.
With the cooperation offer from Deutsche Messe AG and Deutsche Bahn, you can travel to LIGNA in comfort and relaxation.
North Entrance: via Hannover Main Station
For your day visit, use the regular services of Deutsche Bahn AG to Hannover Main Station. The exhibition grounds can be reached from Hannover Main Station by underground line 8 or 18 in approx. 18 minutes (entrances NORD 1 and 2).
Subway stop: Hannover Messe/Nord.
West Entrance: via Hannover Messe/Laatzen Station
The Hannover Messe/Laatzen station is approximately 400 m from the WEST 1 entrance to the grounds. You can reach the grounds on foot by walking over the covered Skywalk transport system, which connects the station with the Exhibition Grounds.
Additional metronom and erixx stops will also be set up at Hannover Messe/Laatzen station for fast regional journeys.
FlixTrain
FlixTrain also offers train connections to Hannover. Some lines will take you directly to the Messe/Laatzen station or to Hannover Central Station.

All year round from Hannover Airport via Hannover Main Station to the Exhibition Grounds by local railway connection (S-Bahn), travel time 12 - 15 minutes.

B.F.M. Incoming & Traveller Services GmbH buses run between Hannover airport and the exhibition grounds. For further information on the services and booking options can be found at www.bfmhaj.com

Please note:
Starting in 2025, citizens from more than 60 visa-exempt countries will have to apply for travel authorization in the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) before traveling to any of the 30 European countries. With a valid ETIAS travel authorization, travelers can enter as many times as they want for short-term stays - normally for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Travelers who do not have a valid travel authorization will not be allowed to board their flight, bus, ferry or ship.

Taxi
Taxi stands are located around the exhibition grounds at the entrances NORD 2, WEST 1 + 3 and SÜD 1.
The journey time between the exhibition grounds and the airport is approx. 30 minutes, depending on the volume of traffic.
The taxi company "Hallo Taxi 3811" also offers its customers a new quality service. Under the motto: friendly, safe, comfortable, the nationwide unique initiative Plus Taxi has been launched.
