Burkhardt systems produce environmentally friendly power and heat from wood pellets and wood chips using the principle of combined heat and power (CHP). Only ENplus-A1 class wood pellets or wood chips are used as fuel.
Each system consists of one (or two) innovative wood gasifiers and a downstream combined heat and power (CHP) unit. The Burkhardt wood gasifier converts wood fuel into combustible wood gas. This process takes place in the patented reactor, where wood pellets are efficiently transformed into wood gas through several stages. The treated wood gas then powers the CHP unit to generate electricity. At the same time, heat for heating purposes is extracted through gas cooling.
As one of the leading manufacturers of biomass power plants, we offer comprehensive solutions—from development and planning to manufacturing, assembly, and installation—all from a single source. We ensure the highest quality in materials and workmanship. Our certifications according to DIN ISO 9001, BDEW, and SeSam guarantee that our CHP units and wood gasifiers consistently meet the highest standards.
