JOSTING Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG specializes in manufacturing cutting machines for veneers, foil and other materials. Since 2017, the company has been run by the sole managing partner Stefan Brokfeld. He brings with him the specialist mechanical engineering expertise he acquired at Brokfeld Maschinenbau GmbH & Co.KG, which is now providing engineering services for JOSTING. By working together, the two companies aim to generate synergies, enabling them to meet customer needs innovatively and effectively, with a firm focus on the future. For example, alongside the cutting machines themselves, JOSTING now also offers an end-to-end portfolio for handling. All the same, it is the machines that are taking center stage at the upcoming LIGNA 2019, with premieres in Hannover including JOSTING's MultiCut DC double-knife veneer cutting machine.

The MultiCut DC cuts veneer packs exactly parallel and straight on two sides with a top and bottom knife, thus enabling easy tight-jointed splicing for all types of veneers. To obtain the required width dimension, a powerful drive quickly moves the machine table with the bottom knife to the desired position. Once the pack has been compressed, the top knife cuts down toward the table, while the bottom knife cuts up toward the pressure bar. The key new feature of JOSTING’s tried-and-tested double-knife veneer cutting machines is the Siemens S7 touchscreen control unit, which is now being fitted to all MultiCut DC systems. A specially designed unloading station for removing or transporting veneers is now also available for this machine type.
