Mafell AG, based in Oberndorf am Neckar in Baden-Württemberg, is a renowned medium-sized company known for its high-quality carpentry machines and power tools for joiners, carpenters and carpenters. Like other suppliers, Mafell is gradually expanding its range of professional cordless tools, whose performance does not have to hide behind corded alternatives.

Improved ease of uUse and Handling

One of Oberndorf's latest achievements is the PS 2-18 cordless performance jigsaw. According to Mafell, its corded counterpart, the P1 cc precision jigsaw, has already set standards in terms of precision, performance and functionality. The patented CUmax saw blade holder and the CUnex W1 wedge-shaped precision saw blade enable long, precise and right-angled cuts. In addition to these features, the new cordless jigsaw is said to offer improved ease of use and handling.

Precise, powerful Tool with well thought-out Ergonomics

According to the manufacturer, the PS 2-18 impresses with a powerful motor, which should enable a constant stroke rate and therefore precise cutting even under load. The stroke rate can be set to between 750 and 3,100 strokes per minute using the digital electronics. The three-stage pendulum action also allows the jigsaw to be adapted to different materials.

Ergonomic, even for Left-Handers

The housing is foamed with anti-slip and vibration-damping soft components for all grip positions, even when reaching underneath to saw backwards. The switches are ergonomically positioned without having to reach around - even for left-handers. The slim housing without protrusions and edges is easy to put on and take off without damaging the workpiece. The saw blade tension, the geometry of the base plate and the two LEDs allow a clear view of the saw blade and the workpiece. The precision of the PS 2-18 is a combination of the patented saw blade tension, the saw blades, the wide base plate, the low center of gravity and the weight balance - despite the battery.
