For over 90 years, Festool has stood for tradition and innovation. As a manufacturer of system products for tradespeople, the company has been setting the highest standards for quite some time. Festool harnesses its expertise in industry and technology mainly to develop tools and machinery used by painters, cabinetmakers and varnishers. The company currently holds over 350 patents, which is a testament to its strength as an innovator. In fact, it has been breaking new ground in technology ever since it was founded as Fezer & Stoll in 1925 and launched the first portable chainsaw.
Staying true to its roots, the highlight of the Festool showcase at LIGNA 2019 is set to be yet another innovation in saw technology. The new bench-mounted circular saw complete with SawStop technology is designed to prevent operators from suffering serious cuts. Thanks to this groundbreaking system, the saw blade stops within five milliseconds after coming into contact with human skin, disappearing into the machine table and out of the hazard zone. In addition to this and other exciting highlights, the company is also showcasing its range of timber construction products this year in the Festool truck on the trade fair’s open-air site.
