When Leica Geosystems launched the first hand-operated laser distance meter some 25 years ago, it truly revolutionized the global market. The Leica DISTO range has been setting productivity standards in state-of-the-art measuring technology ever since. Measurements can be calculated quickly and reliably with millimeter-level precision at the touch of a button - from distance, area and volume right through to measuring heights indirectly across obstacles and inclines. Thanks to ongoing development and innovative technologies, Leica DISTO devices are always at the cutting edge of advances and ideal for a wide range of applications. The latest generation of laser distance meters, the new Leica DISTO X series, is no exception to the rule - and boasts an unprecedentedly robust design, too.

The housing and keypad for the new DISTO X3 and X4 are sealed against water and dust to protection class IP 65, so they can even be cleaned under running water risk-free. Solid rubber components encase the sensitive measuring elements just in case the devices are dropped or fall, while fiberglass-reinforced plastic bracing inside provides extra stability. All in all, the DISTO X3 and X4 are exceptionally well equipped for day-to-day measuring requirements in construction work. "The Leica DISTO X series, Leica DST 360 adapter and DISTO Plan App make a revolutionary portfolio and offer the perfect solution for every user," says Markus Hammerer, Program Director at Leica Geosystems. "From straightforward distance measurement to P2P functionality and smart solutions for documenting data, anything is possible - and all with the reliability and precision everyone has come to expect from Leica DISTO."
