According to the Italians, the SCM panel dividing saws are the result of continuous internal development, to which the expertise acquired through the integration of Gabbiani into SCM is added. This contribution and the appreciation of the traditional brand should also be expressed in the retention of the Gabbiani name as the model designation.
Maximum Cutting Performance
According to SCM, the automatic SCM panel dividing saws in the Gabbiani model range always guarantee maximum cutting performance thanks to their high level of technological expertise and state-of-the-art technology. The wide range of automatic horizontal panel saws for cutting wood panels or wood panel packages and their processing products meets the requirements of companies with high production volumes as well as those looking for a customized solution.
Optimizations and new Features
This also applies in particular to the recently introduced Gabbiani P95 and PT95 (with lifting table) product series. The saws are designed for batch size 1 as well as for series production and have a whole range of optimizations and new features on board. According to the company, modern control technology and synergy effects in production make the machines more cost-effective and at the same time make the customer's production process more intuitive, effective and safe. The new models are equipped with a number of additional functions and some new options, including Flexcut 1/S as an option for more cuts in less time. The simultaneous processing of several panels with different cuts (maximum two adjacent, 600 millimeter wide strips) can greatly reduce machine running time. In addition, the saw blade projection has been increased from 80 to 95 millimetres. And as the saw motors now have an output of up to 18.5 kilowatts, cutting speeds of up to 50 meters per minute should be possible. There are also LED displays for front and rear loading when the lifting table is in place. An intelligent LED system guides the operator through the processing steps and thus ensures intuitive production monitoring. In the version with lifting table, the system even guides the operator to the correct loading of the panel stack with the forklift, signals the need for a stack change and, if available, signals the removal of the pallet. The positioning of the movable air cushion tables is also LED-guided. In addition, the new angle cutting device enables the angle stop to be swiveled by handwheel and automatic positioning to the panel dimensions by means of a linear stop and transmission of the values to the machine control system.
Software improves performance
Optimized software solutions are also designed to ensure greater efficiency and productivity. The Maestro Stackwise system analyses and optimizes the arrangement of parts during the cutting process, while Maestro Optiwise optimizes panel cutting. The software arranges the parts intelligently and ensures the best possible use of the panel material. Simple parameter settings make it possible to adapt the cutting result to the actual production requirements. The user-friendly interface simplifies the entire machining process. The software can be adapted to a company's specific production requirements - depending on whether the focus is on material utilization or the cutting performance of the machine. Maestro Optiwise also offers comprehensive reporting tools and can be integrated with other software solutions from SCM's product range.
