"Possibilities in the seamless integration of Borm ERP and Pointline CAD"
Online documents and BOM transfers between CAD-ERP with a unique approach of object selection.
Thanks to the generic approach of generating construction data, furniture designs can be quickly and production-securely created in PointlineCAD. The technical requirements for planners are reduced as planning errors can be prevented due to the generic logic. However, it is always possible to flexibly configure parts and manually intervene within any component. With Pointline CAD, all customer requests can be quickly modeled, visualized, and constructed at the same time.
In combination with Borm's ERP systems, the user has significant advantages. Drawings can be accessed online and edited directly, and part data can also be transmitted to the ERP system. This ensures that the operator is always able to process product and machine data seamlessly in any situation, whether working from home or on the construction site.
This online-enabled import further convinces with its selection-based approach. Furniture and components from CAD can be easily added to the appropriate bill of material (BOM) in the desired position directly through a selection. This is a huge relief, for example, when adjustments and changes need to be made.
The CAD delivers complete part data into the ERP system, as well as machining information. During this transfer, information is also completed through the system, for instance ordering and material management information which will be added. In the ERP system, all order information, warehouse reservations, cutting information, and post-calculation is ready for further processing.
