HIMMEL® geared motors - i.e. gearboxes with an attached electric motor - are used to drive slow-running machines. The high speed of the motor is reduced by one or more gearing stages to a speed suitable for the application, whereby the torque increases accordingly.
The areas of application for HIMMEL® geared motors are extremely diverse: conveyor technology, crane and lifting technology, the food and packaging industry, automation, agricultural and agricultural technology, theatre technology and vehicle technology.
HIMMEL® geared motors have a particularly solid design. The grey cast iron housing ensures extremely smooth running and high power density. The drives are designed for continuous operation. Some gearbox types are also available with aluminium or stainless steel housings. All gears are milled, ball-scraped or ground and surface-hardened. The helical gearing of the gearwheels ensures particularly smooth running.
HIMMEL® geared motors are available in foot-mounted or flange-mounted versions and can be operated in any installation position with the appropriate amount of lubrication. Of course, applications such as the installation of electromagnetic brakes, backstops or speed monitors are also possible.
Whether special dimensions for shaft or flange - HIMMEL Antriebstechnik supplies the right drive unit. Thanks to our design department, we are always able to develop and provide the optimum solution for your drive task.
