Special tasks and applications often require the use of special tools. BESSEY has three practical problem solvers for clamping edges and faces: the EKT one-handed edge clamp, the three-spindle KT C-frame edge clamp and the KT edge clamp.
On the EKT55 one-handed edge clamp, turning just one handle carries out two mechanical processes one after the other. First, a unique twin spindle is used to apply two clamping jaws to the surfaces. Once these are applied, an integrated slipping clutch is engaged and a second spindle generates the force on the face. This special sequence of functions ensures that protruding blank edges can be overlapped on both sides without contact. Plates with thicknesses of between 10 and 55 mm can be clamped.
The KT8-3 C-frame edge clamp is actuated via three individual spindles and is particularly suited to applications in which high clamping forces are required. An extremely stable, forged C-arm uses two spindles with tommy bars. This ensures that the clamp is tight. The third spindle with a wooden handle then clamps the work piece at right angles to the clamp axis. The C-frame edge clamp has a clamping width of 0 to 80 mm and a throat depth of 80 mm.
The KT edge clamp is a practical accessory that is suitable for common screw clamps with a maximum rail thickness of 13 mm. By using the star knob screw the edge clamp can be affixed quickly and easily to BESSEY cast-iron and all-steel screw clamps. The KT edge clamp is available in two versions: with one spindle (KT5-1CP) or with two spindles (KT5-2).
