The SFK 200 is designed for four-surface pointing, chamfering and two-sided cutting of peeled or round-milled wood.
When processing the milled logs, it is not necessary to sort the logs according to diameter in advance. However, it is necessary that the timbers have the same length (nominal dimension up to + 20 cm).
First, the logs are cut to the exact length with two cross-cut saws. Then, a point and /or a chamfer is made on the ends of the wood using the tact mode. When processing the peeled logs, a thickness measurement is provided to determine the thin or thick log’s end and the diameter at two log ends. The kind of point can be individually chosen, either a round or a square point.
By measuring the diameter of the wood at the ends, it is possible to define electronically exact, on which end of the wood what kind of processing should be done (chamfering or square pointing).
You can choose which end of the wood (thin or thick) is to be pointed. Depending on the machine design, you can attach a shorter or a long point.
The SFK 160/200 works with the disc of 700 mm diameter and 6 knives.
The SFK 200 Long Point is equipped with the disc of 1000 mm diameter with 10 knives.
It is not necessary to classify previously the timber.
The control of the working steps is done by a PLC-control system. The logs are clamped pneumatically.
The working liftings are carried out by several servo drives.
