The Profile Expert inspection system provides advanced 3D inspection and evaluation of profiles for final products such as furniture pieces, plywood with tongue and groove, or other profile applications, ensuring compliance with specified dimensional requirements. Unlike traditional systems that rely on a "golden standard," Profile Expert analyzes 3D data for each piece directly against product specifications, significantly reducing errors and enhancing precision.
The technology scans the full length of the product, verifying whether profile dimensions meet set requirements. It can also be adjusted to scan surfaces for coating defects or scratches as small as 0.03 mm. Visual inspection is possible on all sides, and each side can be subdivided into smaller regions. This feature enables clients to optimize product waste, allowing for less stringent grading in hidden areas while applying stricter criteria to visible sections of the finished product.
Profile Expert comes with multiple software packages, including tools for importing DWG files to create inspection profiles, simulating the positioning of scanning cameras, and defining tolerances and requirements for joint or surface inspections. The system offers two modes of operation: unit-level inspection and production statistics level. In unit-level mode, each piece is inspected with the utmost precision and evaluated individually. In production statistics mode, the system focuses on predictive maintenance by continuously analyzing inspection data to detect early signs of wear and tear in machinery. By identifying potential issues before they lead to failures, the system reduces downtime, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures consistent product quality over time.
