Clean gas fans are intended for conveying fresh air or already filtered raw gas (air-solids mixture). As a rule, they are used in or downstream of filter systems that work with negative pressure. The fans are located on the so-called “clean side”. In systems that work with positive pressure, clean gas fans are successfully used as supporting units.
The clean gas fans are designed to ensure many years of trouble-free operation. A steel grade with increased strength was selected for the manufacture of the rotors, which prevents deformation of the rotor blades and thus increased wear on the motor bearings.
As these fans only transport fresh air or filtered gas, they can be designed to ensure very high performance. The efficiency of such fans can reach up to 89 %, depending on the model.
Clean gas fans meet all the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 327/2011 of March 30, 2011 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for fans driven by motors with an electric input power between 125 W and 500 kW.
