The max. flitch resp. veneer width is 250 mm. The slicing resp. veneer lengths are unlimited.
Depending on the individual requirements, our lengthwise slicer can be used in combination with an automation system (Merry-go-Round System) for reaching up to ~1 mio. m²/a during one shift operation.
Lengthwise sliced veneers are of the highest surface and structure quality level.
Only ~30% of the wood fiber are cut-through with MARUNAKA lengthwise slicers whilst ~70% are cut-through by means of the conventional crosswise slicers. Source: TU Dresden (Germany) – lengthwise slicing technology.
After perfect thermal treatment all kind of common timber species can be sliced into first class veneers.
Also, MARUNAKA’s special knife grinder with twin-head grinding system suitable for this slicer is included in the range of the production program.
